Commuter Order Platform Enhancements - July 2013

Redesigned & Simplified User Interface with Additional Features

These updates will simplify the ordering process and add improved functionality and support features all within a brand new look. Participant shopping carts will not change nor will orders need to be placed again.

Our commitment to our participants continues with these enhancements. Email communications with more specifics about the July changes will be sent to individual commuter clients and participants.

Highlights Include:

* Location mapping will offer commuting options based on home & office locations with Google Maps integration

* An expanded "My Account" section

* Multi-lingual options for the site in English and Spanish with the click of a button

* Improved help section with downloadable documents available

* Recurring options by product available in the shopping cart

Crosby Now a Division of WageWorks

Description: Crosby_WW_LogoAs a follow up to our announcement last month, Crosby Benefit Systems became a part of WageWorks, Inc. (NYSE: WAGE) on May 1, 2013. WageWorks is a leading benefits administrator for consumer-directed health, commuter and other employee spending account benefits, including FSAs, HSAs, HRAs, parking and transit programs.


Crosby chose to become a division of WageWorks to benefit from the extensive expertise, technology, and service resources a leading national administrator can offer. Crosby will continue to provide service to clients and participants from our office in Newton. We will operate as a local office, with close ties to our clients. Our phone numbers, websites, contact information and staff will remain the same.


Over the next 2-3 months, you will see some administrative improvements and changes with regard to our branding. For example, our new name is Crosby Benefit Systems, a Division of WageWorks, Inc. and our logo will be updated to show this. Reimbursement Account checks will include our new name starting in July and we will also send you Compliance Alerts from WageWorks as they become available.

Health Insurance Marketplace Guidance 

New Notifications Due to Employees by October 1st

 

Description: COBRA ImageThe Department of Labor issued Technical Release 2013-02 providing temporary guidance regarding the employer notice requirement to employees concerning marketplace availability.

The guidance states that current employees must receive notifications by October 1, 2013 and employees hired on or after October 1, 2013 must be notified at the time of hire. This guidance also announces the availability of a model notice to employees of marketplace coverage options.

Crosby can assist with the distribution of this notice to employees in order to satisfy the compliance requirements. In addition, the Department of Labor has provided an updated model COBRA election notice for group health plans for including information regarding alternative health coverage offered through the marketplaces. We will automatically update our COBRA Notification Packets in accordance with regulation guidance.

We are committed to moving our clients to a paperless process flow so that we can keep costs down and reduce the amount of paper used to communicate with participants, thus generating less waste.
